Equality & Diversity

The Regenda Group prides itself on being an equal opportunities organisation:

This means when we provide housing and community services and when we recruit and select new staff, we will endeavour to ensure that everyone is treated equally and has the same opportunities.

We recognise the importance of having open, fair and ethical arrangements in place for the appointment of our employees.

The Regenda Group will take every reasonable step to ensure genuine equality of opportunity in all aspects of its activities as a service provider

Good Employment Practices

We aim to prevent and remove unfair discrimination and bias towards you;

The aim of our workplace culture is where to be different is not a problem but an asset;

It is essential that we address any issues relating to gender, sexuality, age, religious belief, culture, disability, class, ethnicity, education etc. We have various policies and procedures in place which focus on issues to prevent them arising or deal with them if they do.

We aim to promote positive attitudes by employees to their colleagues.

Encouraging positive management of any issues, provide communication & training, address specific issues is a priority.

Through all of this we are promoting a culture of respect and dignity

Working with Dignity

We recognise, acknowledge and value difference in all people, and treat others with consideration and courtesy. In addition people will not be disadvantaged, belittled or excluded for that which appears to make them different, regardless of what that might be.

Valuing Diversity

Valuing Diversity demonstrates Regenda’s commitment to developing a culture in which equality & diversity is mainstreamed within all our activities.

"An Inclusive culture that respects and values differences"

We will achieve this along with our statutory responsibilities by:

  • Presenting a welcoming face to our customers

  • Respond to the needs of the local community
  • Attract customers and service users from diverse backgrounds
  • Recognise and respond to our staff needs

Why is equality and diversity important to us?

We want our services to be relevant to all our customers. By understanding the diversity of our customers and their needs, we can continuously improve and provide high quality services.

How do we do it?

  • produced action plans to ensure that equality and diversity is taken into consideration in every aspect of our business and
  • taken account of the diverse nature of our communities.
